Ever since I was little, I’ve been passionate about food and cooking. I’ve been reluctant to start a blog, despite friends and family urging me on, because I didn’t think I fit the food blogger persona. By that I mean that I didn’t have an illness I was trying to cure and I don’t follow a specific restrictive diet, I just really really like food.

I decided to start my blog as a distraction and procrastination tool whilst I was finishing my Masters thesis, and I’ve actually found it really therapeutic (and quite handy for remembering what I’ve done too!). I’ll only post my original recipes on here, but I draw lots of inspiration from a few good quality cook books. These can be found on the Kitchen Essentials page!
